Project summary
To develop an approximately 8.96-hectare site by constructing and operating a retirement village that comprises:
- approximately 110 independent-living residential units in detached or attached villas
- an amenity and care building up to three storeys high that provides:
- approximately 25 independent-living residential units
- approximately 50 care beds
- communal facilities for residents
- outdoor spaces for active and passive recreation
- a publicly accessible coastal walkway and park
- vehicle and pedestrian accessways, parking areas and supporting infrastructure including for three-waters services.

The Minister for the Environment and the Minister of Conservation consider it is more appropriate for the project to go through standard consenting processes under the Resource Management Act 1991.
