Project summary
To develop approximately 65 hectares of land to construct and operate a sports and equestrian facility. The project includes 32 residential units (including accommodation for visitors to the facility) and supporting activities such as a café and restaurant, maintenance facilities, landscaping and waterway enhancement, and the construction of infrastructure including parking areas and three-waters services.

The Minister for the Environment considers it is more appropriate for the project to go through standard consenting processes under the Resource Management Act 1991.
The Minister was also not satisfied that the project will help to achieve the purpose of the FTCA and therefore it does not meet the referral criteria in section 18 of the FTCA.
The Minister has also decided there is insufficient time for the project to be referred and considered before the FTCA is repealed.
