The project:
- will help to achieve the Act’s purpose
- offers specialist and local employment opportunities (up to 400 jobs over a duration of 36-48 months for the construction period, followed by 172 operational jobs once constructed)
- will result in a public benefit by providing additional housing supply for aged persons and aged care facilities
Any adverse effects arising from the application and mitigation measures could be tested through the expert consenting panel having regard to Part 2 of the Resource Management Act and the purpose of the Act.
