New Zealand's climate change target: Our contribution to the new international climate change agreement: Summary of consultation responses

The Government consulted on a climate change target between 7 May and 3 June 2015. The consultation focused on what international target the Government would contribute to the new international climate change agreement as part of its “intended nationally determined contribution” (INDC). The New Zealand’s Climate Change Target – our contribution to the new international climate change agreement - discussion document asked stakeholders to respond to the key issues needed to inform the decision, rather than options for the target itself.
