This is a report on the risks associated with nitrates in drinking water in both ground and surface-water sources.
The report was jointly written by the Ministry for the Environment and Manatū Hauora (the Ministry of Health), in consultation with the new drinking water regulator – Taumata Arowai.
The report was developed in response to a Cabinet recommendation.
