The Circular Economy Directory connects businesses seeking circular solutions to businesses that can help design out waste and pollution, keep products and materials in use and regenerate nature. It is a place to find products and services that can help a business to become more circular.
MfE provided financial support, subject matter expertise and communications support. Other project partners include Waste Management, Amiomio Aotearoa and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

The Government has a vision for a low-emission low-waste future for Aotearoa New Zealand. MfE has a strategic focus on supporting the transition to a circular economy.
While the Government sets the regulatory and policy parameters, it is up to the business sector to take up the implementation and action. Platforms and tools such as this directory are really important as they support the business sector to do this.
Everyone has a role to play to reach this vision for a low-emission low-waste future, and collaboration has real benefits.
For instance, the Government can give insights into policy direction, access to networks, funding and subject matter expertise.
Businesses can give practical experience of the realities of implementation (feasibility), highlight challenges that need to be overcome through collaboration and/or government regulation and policy, and feed into policy and regulatory development.
