Project summary
To construct a building up to six storeys high for residential and commercial use hat will provide 44–58 hotel units and 12–36 residential apartment units (80 in total), and will include ground floor hotel reception, a gym, conference centre. The project includes construction of supporting infrastructure including vehicle and pedestrian and cycle accessways, car-parking areas and three-waters services.

The Minister for the Environment considers it is more appropriate for the project to go through standard consenting processes under the Resource Management Act 1991.
The Minister was also not satisfied that the project will help to achieve the purpose of the FTCA and therefore it does not meet the referral criteria in section 18 of the FTCA.
