Waste Minimisation Act implementation: Evaluation of stakeholder perceptions

This baseline evaluation of stakeholder perceptions was undertaken by the Ministry with consultant Judy Oakden and the Kinnect Group in late 2010. A mix of focus groups, key informant interviews and online stakeholder surveys (N=325) evaluated waste stakeholders’ perceptions of the early implementation phase of the Waste Minimisation Act, and the short-term outcomes (2009-2010).

Overall the stakeholder evaluation reported a positive result in the Ministry’s implementation of the Waste Minimisation Act, with no major crises or compliance issues. For topline results, see pages 5 - 10 of the report.
