There are limited rights of appeal against a decision to award costs. This is because the decision involves a broad discretion, and also because Environment Court decisions can be appealed to the High Court on points of law only.
The High Court may also impose costs if it considers the appeal against costs was inappropriate.
You should seek legal advice if you are considering appealing a costs decision.
