Modelling streamflow depletion from recorded abstractions: application to the Greater Wellington and Manawatu-Wanganui regions

This report characterises the pressure on surface water flows from actual water takes for the Horizons (Manawatu-Wanganui) and Greater Wellington regions in the lower half of the North Island of New Zealaland. The report discusses the methods used for extracting the analysing water metering data over three hydrological years, and estimates the impact on stream or river flow because of these takes. Results and data limitations are discussed for each region.
