An independent review of the programme was commissioned by the Jobs for Nature Reference Group to ensure that the Programme was set up well to be successful.
The review was completed by RDC Ltd. in May 2021, in consultation with the Jobs for Nature Secretariat and all five programme delivery agencies (Ministry for the Environment, Department of Conservation, Ministry for Primary Industries, Land Information New Zealand and Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment).
The review undertook a high-level review of six projects within the programme. The report identifies that the programme is soundly managed and capable of delivering, and makes recommendations which future programmes can consider.
