From 8 July to 17 September 2021, the Ministry for the Environment consulted on a range of options to improve the governance framework of the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS). The consultation document outlined proposals aimed at ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the ETS, the promotion of confidence in market trading, and reducing the risk of misconduct in the ETS.
