Latest report from Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released
In 2010-2019 average annual global greenhouse gas emissions were at their highest levels in human history, but the rate of growth has slowed, the report finds.
Immediate and deep greenhouse gas emissions reductions are needed in all sectors if we are to limit climate warming to 1.5°C according to modelling.
Rapid acceleration of mitigation efforts after 2030 will be needed to limit warming to below 2°C.
