Forms, fees, and procedure regulations

The regulations outline procedures and information required when engaging in RMA processes, including both plan making and resource consenting. They also set out the general procedures, forms and fees for Environment Court processes.

Purpose of the regulations

The Resource Management (Forms, Fees, and Procedure) Regulations 2003 outline the procedures and information required when engaging in RMA processes, including both plan-making and resource consenting.

These regulations were last amended as a result of the Resource Management Amendment Act 2020, the amendments took effect on 3 September 2020.

The regulations set out the general procedures, forms and fees for Environment Court processes.

  • Schedule 1 of the regulations prescribes the forms to use when carrying out processes under the RMA.
  • Schedule 2 of the regulations sets the fees for various applications that are made to central government under the Resource Management Act 1991.
  • Schedule 3 of the regulations set the fees payable in respect of proceedings in the Environment Court.
