This paper seeks approval to transfer, from Maritime New Zealand to the Environmental Protection the regulation of all discharges from offshore installations and pipelines in the EEZ (other than oil spills), discharges from production facilities on board mineral mining ships, dumping of waste in the EEZ and on the extended continental shelf.
