The Government is updating Schedule 1AA and Schedule 2A of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, Schedule 1 of the Imports and Exports (Restrictions) Prohibition Order (No 2) 2004, and Schedule 1 of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (Exemptions and Prohibited Substances) Regulations 2011 to implement decisions adopted under the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in 2025.
The Consistency Accountability Statements (CAS) assess the proposed regulations and orders against the principles of responsible regulation. The Summaries of Underpinning Analysis (SUA) summarise the analysis that informed those assessments.
