Two Loops Catchment Group commissioned this report from Denise Knop from AgFirst and Roland Stenger from Lincoln Agritech under the Access to Experts initiative, a Ministry for the Environment-funded service delivered by Beca and NZ Landcare Trust.
The catchment group wished to identify opportunities for reducing contaminant loss to water on different properties throughout its catchment. The two documents reviewed existing groundwater and surface water monitoring data in the area; provided high-level implementable actions for nitrogen, phosphorus, sediment and E. coli; and outlined an action plan with next steps for the catchment group to improve freshwater quality outcomes.
