The Proposed National Policy Statement for Urban Development was publicly notified on 23 July 2020. This report summarises the recommendations and the Minister for the Environment’s decisions on the recommendations following the public consultation.
Section 52 of the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA) requires the Minister to provide every person who made a submission on the National Policy Statement with a summary of the recommendations and a summary of the Minister’s decisions on the recommendations (including reasons for not adopting any recommendations). This report meets the requirements under the RMA.
