This report investigates selected provisions relating to residential development in the Hamilton City Operative District Plan (ODP), under sections 360I–360L of the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA). The provisions investigated concern deep soil area requirements, urban tree canopy requirements, building form controls for multi-unit residential development, electric vehicle charging requirements, and cycle and micro-mobility parking requirements.
