The Ministry for the Environment commissioned the Coastal Management Collective, on behalf of the Aotearoa Climate Adaptation Network (now Aotearoa Society of Adaptation Professionals), to provide a stocktake of climate adaptation learning programmes currently available in Aotearoa New Zealand.
This report assesses the range and focus of courses and professional development across tertiary institutions, professional organisations and selected international providers as at June 2024.
This work supports implementation of action 3.29 of Aotearoa New Zealand’s first national adaptation plan, by identifying existing capability and gaps, particularly in applied adaptation skills such as implementation, monitoring and review.
