Questions about the waste rōpū members

Details of the request

1. What was the total salary each member of the rōpū was paid for their work? Note that this includes the 3 key members, Gannin Ormsby, Teina Bossa Dean and Jacqui Forbes as well as the support team of Takomo Ormsby and Waimirirangi Ormsby, part of Kiwi Catalyst Ltd.
- Please ensure that salaries for each individual are separated.
- For any differences in salaries between members of the rōpū, please provide an explanation for the differences.
2. Please provide evidence that Gannin Ormsby was recommended to be part of the rōpū. (this may take the form of emails, letters etc.) Please also provide the name/s of any people who recommended him. - If that is not possible, explain why not?
3. A response to one of our previous questions regarding the number of applications received noted that MfE used its ‘network of sector contacts to identify individuals with the relevant mana and expertise’. Please provide a reason as to why the Ministry identified individuals for the rōpū themselves instead of taking applications.
4. Nicki Douglas, Gina Mohi, Lelani Unasa, Rawiri Bhana as well as Kiri Reihana were among names mentioned in one of the emails attached as potential candidates for being involved in the rōpū (see pg.1-2). Were any of these names approached by MfE?
