Copies of Dairy NZ framework for a replacement to the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management and relevant meeting records

Details of the request

In the Dairy NZ submission to the Primary Production Committee on the Resource Management (Freshwater and Other Matters) Amendment Bill, Dairy NZ wrote:

“DairyNZ is developing a framework for a replacement to the NPS-FM which provides a rebalanced approach, focusing on the identification and delivery of environmental, human health and cultural outcomes. We welcome any opportunity to work with officials and elected representatives on this.”

Please provide the following information:

• Any copies of the ‘framework’ Dairy NZ is developing to replace the NPS-FM, including drafts, that have been provided to the Ministry for the Environment or Ministry for Primary Industries and/or the associated Minister(s).
• A record of any meetings MfE / MPI or the Minister(s) has had with Dairy NZ in which any draft ‘framework’ has been discussed
• Copies of any correspondence between MfE / MPI or the Minister(s) and Dairy NZ in which any draft ‘framework’ has been discussed
