As we approach the end of the year, we’d like to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing contributions to the development of the future resource management system.
It’s been a big year and it was certainly a highlight to see the Natural and Built Environment Bill and Spatial Planning Bill off to Parliament in November, but there is still plenty more to do.
The resource management system makes a significant contribution to the wellbeing of New Zealanders. It is at the heart of how we manage our natural environment, and fundamental to our built environment including urban development, housing supply and regional economic development.
The Environment select committee is now calling for submissions on both Bills, with submissions accepted until February 2023. You can check the Parliament website for the most up-to-date timeframes.
