A 60-minute webinar launching the Transforming Recycling consultation. This session provided an overview of all three proposals we sought feedback on during the consultation which closed on 22 May 2022.

Kerbside - standardising materials

A 90-minute workshop that took a detailed look at the materials proposed to be collected for kerbside dry recycling and the materials proposed to be excluded.

The workshop provided the opportunity to ask questions and for small group discussions so local government, recyclers, manufacturers and the community sector could jointly discuss key issues and then feedback their views in the workshop.

Container Return Scheme

A 60-minute webinar specifically for industry and sector stakeholders.

This session included a 30-minute deep-dive into key proposals for a container return scheme for Aotearoa New Zealand and a 30-minute Q&A session.

Kerbside - household and business food waste

A 60-minute workshop to take a detailed look at the proposals for kerbside food scraps collections and for businesses to separate food scraps. It also covered the list of materials to be collected in food and garden waste collections.

There was an opportunity to ask questions and for small group discussions so that local government, composters, businesses and the community sector could jointly discuss key issues and then feedback their views in the workshop.
